B.Sc. Honours is a 3-year full-time undergraduate degree course, the
minimum eligibility for which is a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2)
qualification with a minimum aggregate score of 60% in Mathematics.
The programme is spread over 6 semesters.
The programme provides rigorous foundation of the concepts of Computer
Science and Information Technology that enables the students to design
a hardware/software system, component, or process to meet desired
needs within realistic constraints. The curriculum includes knowledge
of the Operating System, Programming Languages (like C++, Java,
Python, R etc) Database, Computer Networks, Computer System
Architecture, Software Engineering, Data Sciences, Data Mining,
Artificial Intelligence and Computer Graphics.
Who Can Apply: Basic qualification to apply for
B.Sc.(Hons) is 10+2 senior school certificate exam or an equivalent
examination passed. Please refer to the prospectus for other admission
eligibility details.
When To Apply: Student are advised to follow the
guidelines issued by the University of Delhi every year. Usually, the
application process begins in May/June every year.

Studying B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science would not just provide students the requisite background and knowledge for a successful career in IT but also a base for the ones who want to pursue further studies in the field. There are various IT related avenues which can be explored by computer science graduates ranging from web, software, hardware, animation and multimedia, database, computer security and others. A number of our students go on to pursue Masters in the field (MCA /MSc. Computer Science/ MS) from various reputed institutions both in India and abroad.
